BlogExplosion Closing Down?

I heard that BlogExplosion may be going in the same direction as BlogMad and traffic generators in general. I suppose that may be a good thing for some folks, but will definitely inhibit some newer bloggers from beta testing their blogs to a "generic" audience. Personally, I like to put my newer blogs on traffic generators to find their demo. At this point you may be asking yourself, "What is the purpose of this post?" Well, the purpose of this post is to inform you of the demise of traffic generators and hopefully spur you to check out some more organic traffic generation methods (preferentially the ones I have dropped onto this blog the last two and a half months).

Feel free to peruse some of the earlier posts on this blog and try some of the tips and techniques I've listed and recommended. Having spent a great deal of time finding great tips for increased traffic and piling them up here, I would love to have some folks utilize this blog as a resource. Other than Adsense, I don't expect to do any advertising here, so what I'm saying is, "This blog is for you as a resource."

In the meantime, I don't know for sure if BlogExplosion is "toast", but I suspect the end may be near. I have a few blogs that have been awaiting approval for over two months and have found that sending inquiries and whatnot have (for the most part) fallen on death ears. Don't get me wrong, it is a free service, so why expect a real hands own admin. Anyway, this is the same thing that happened over at BlogMad, so I think it is a safe assumption. In the meantime, keep creating solid content and have fun blogging!

Hey Tech,

I'm not 100% positive they are shutting down, but all the signs are there.

Have a great new years as well!

It is maybe a free service, until you purchase some credit for a few dollars. I have purchase 4000 credit a week ago, and if they just shut the site without giving notice, then this is bad. Hope we are all wrong and that they'll be back...with my 4000 credit still there ;-)

And I'd finally figured it out! We did wonder how they made any money, but it was definitely very useful. Will check out your suggestions for other (better?) options!

Hey guys, Three months later they are back up and running with new admin. I submitted a handful of support tickets that were all resolved and my credits awarded. Things are back to normal over there.

Thanks for dropping in!
